It's summertime, and I know you must be craving a chilled beverage to beat the heat. No worries, I'm here to quench your thirst with my delicious dry fruit milkshake recipe. An Indian-style nut milkshake made with assorted nuts like almonds, cashews, pistachios, and dates is blended with chilled milk.

This rich and creamy milkshake will give you an instant energy boost. It is a healthy and nutritious beverage which is perfect for breakfast. I love all fruit milkshakes, but a dry fruit milkshake is one of my favorite grab-go-breakfast recipes. Nuts are loaded with nutrients, vitamins, and minerals.

Dry fruits milkshake is a high-calorie beverage that keeps you full and satiated for a long time. I always look forward to incorporating these nuts regularly into my diet. Apart from milkshakes, nuts are a great addition to vegetable salads, fruit salads, mid-meal snacks, barfis, laddus, etc.

The dry fruit milkshake recipe is quite simple to make, and the ingredients are easily modified as per taste and preference. You can add gooseberries (dry amla), walnuts, raisins, figs, cherries, cranberries.

To make it healthier, just skip the white sugar, and substitute it with natural sweeteners like date fruit, honey, dates syrup, figs, etc. Do read the health benefits of each nut which are given below. Alright, now let's get into the recipe.

Dry fruits milkshake ingredients:


1. Full-fat milk - 500 ml
2. Almonds - 12
3. Cashews - 15
4. Pistachios - 20
5. Date fruits (Pitted dates) - 5 to 6
6. Saffron - 2 pinches
7. Sugar - 3 tbsp optional
8. Ice cubes - 4 to 5

Notes: (Please refer to the above pic).

1. Wash nuts and soak each variety of nuts separately in a bowl of hot water for 10 minutes.

2. Soak dates and saffron separately in a small cup of hot milk for 10 minutes.

3. Peel off the almond skin.

4. Although I have mentioned sugar in the ingredient list, I didn't add any sugar or artificial sweetener. Instead, dates are a natural sweetener. So, I think it is enough to sweeten the milkshake.

5. You can add raisins, figs, walnuts, etc.

How to make dry fruits milkshake:


1. Combine the peeled almonds, soaked cashews, and 
pistachios in a blender jar.

2. Pour the soaked saffron milk with the saffron strands.

3. Add dates with milk and mix them well.

4. Grind all the nuts, dates, and saffron milk coarsely or smooth consistency.

5. Then add the remaining milk, sugar, and ice cubes until the milk and nuts blend together.

6. The milkshake is ready to be served. Top it up with a pinch of saffron and roughly chopped nuts.

2. Pour the soaked saffron milk with the saffron strands into the jar.

3. Add the soaked dates along with milk.

4. Grind all the nuts, dates, and saffron milk until you get a smooth consistency. (Note: You can grind coarsely too).

5. Then add the remaining milk, sugar, and ice cubes until the milk and nuts blend together.

Transfer the dry fruits milkshake to a serving glass and served it chilled. You can top it up with a pinch of saffron and chopped nuts for a crunchy bite.
