A mango milkshake is a refreshing fruit beverage prepared by blending ripened mango chunks, chilled milk, and sugar. It is an incredible drink to relish when fresh mangoes are at their season's peak. This delicious shake tastes rich, thick, sweet, and creamy and is full of mango flavors. This recipe is also easy to whip up within 5 minutes.

The mango milkshake is a classic Indian beverage widely popular in India. Traditionally, this mango milkshake is prepared with dairy milk; however, it can be replaced with any plant/nut-based milk if you are a vegan. Similarly, mangoes can be fresh, frozen, or canned mango pulp.

I love all sorts of fruit-based milkshakes, and the mango milkshake is my favorite one. Besides, you can make mango shakes with ice cream as well. Occasionally, I like to blend a scoop of vanilla or mango ice cream to make it even more smooth and creamy. Even nuts like almonds, cashews, and raisins can be combined for a crunchy flavor.

Mango milkshake ingredients:

Mango - 2 small or 1 big
Milk - 500 ml chilled
Powdered sugar - 2 tbsp
Cardamom powder - A pinch
Ice cubes - A few

Optional ingredients:

Vanilla or Mango flavored ice cream - 2 scoops
Whipped cream - To garnish
Nuts - A few for a crunchy bites
Mango chunks - To garnish
Nutmeg - A pinch
Saffron - A pinch

Tips:

1. Choose ripe, sweet, and non-fibrous mangoes for the mango milkshake.
2. Refrigerate the mango and milk for a chilled thick shake instead of adding ice cubes.
3. Add more milk if you like a thin shake and less milk for a thick milkshake.
4. Adjust sugar as per the sweetness of mango.
5. Add a scoop of vanilla or mango ice cream on top if you like.
6. If fresh mangoes are not available, use canned mango pulp or frozen mango cubes.
7. For a vegan version, use plant or nut-based milk like almond, coconut, cashew, etc.

How to make mango milkshake:


1. Choose well-ripened sweet mangoes. Rinse it with water and pat dry.
2. Peel off the skin and chop them roughly.
3. Add chopped mangoes to a blender jar and make a smooth mango pulp.
4. Pour chilled milk, sugar, and cardamom powder into the same jar.
5. Blend to a smooth consistency.
6. Check the consistency, add more milk or sugar, and give it a nice blend.
7. Pour in serving glasses, garnish them with nuts, saffron, ice cream, or mango chunks, and relish them thoroughly!
