Looking for healthy and delicious energy balls with no added sugar,
jaggery, or artificial sweetener? Here is my instant dry fruit ladoo recipe, which is full of flavors
and natural goodness.
Dry fruit laddu is a nutritious ladoo prepared with assorted nuts, seeds, figs, and seedless
dates. I have also added a little ghee, cardamom powder,
and a pinch of nutmeg powder to give a sweet-smelling aroma to the laddus. The nuts and dry fruits are grounded coarsely in a
mixie or blender and combined well to form smooth round-shaped balls or made into any preferred shapes and sizes.
In fact, there is no rule in making this dates ladoo recipe; you can
include any of your favorite nuts, seeds, and dry fruits; also, the quantities can be
altered. So, in today's recipe, I have chosen walnuts, almonds, sunflower seeds, char
magaz (mixed melon seeds), Medjool dates, figs, and black raisins. I modify the recipe every time I make it at home. Besides,
the date fruit makes a nice sticky texture to ladoos. Hence the recipe doesn't call for edible gum.
Dry fruits are my all-time favorite snack, and I make sure that I consume 30
grams of assorted nuts every day for skin and hair growth. This dates & nuts laddu is one of my preferred
snacks, so I frequently make this recipe at home. In fact, it
takes only 15 mins to prepare, plus the ingredients are readily available in my pantry.
I regularly make these dates ladoo in a big batch and have one ladoo every
day for my mid-morning snack. It is such a nutritious and salubrious snack
that gives instant energy and satisfies my sweet cravings. It is also my
go-to snack; I love to carry the ladoos in my handbag to nibble whenever I
feel hungry.
It also comes in handy for late-night sweet cravings. Nuts are rich in
protein, fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Khajur ladoo is
traditionally made during Indian festivals like Diwali, Navaratri, Vinayagar
Chaturthi, and Krishna Jayanthi.

Dry fruit ladoo ingredients:
Dates - 15
Figs - 10
Black raisins - 1/4 cup
Almonds - 1 cup
Walnuts - 1/2 cup
Sunflower seeds - 1/4 cup
Ghee/oil - 2 tsp
Elaichi/Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
Nutmeg powder - A pinch
Salt - A pinch
Notes:
1. Cashew, pecans, pistachios, pumpkin seeds, and apricots can be added
too. Quantity can be adjusted as per taste.
2. I have not used any sugar, jaggery as the dates are enough to sweeten

deglet noor variety.
3. You can chop the nut roughly with a knife or pound the nuts in a mixer
without roasting them.
How to make dry fruit ladoo:
1. Heat a pan and dry roast the almonds for 5 mins or until it turns crisp

4. Keep the nuts and seeds aside on a plate or bowl. Let it cool down
completely.
5. In the meantime, chop the dates and figs into small pieces so that it
