Healthy grilled paneer salad | sauteed paneer recipe | pan-fried paneer | veggie paneer platter with detailed step-by-step photos.

Grilled paneer can be served as a starter or with any vegetable salad to make it healthier. I made the grilled veggie salad and kosumalli/kosambari to accompany the grilled paneer.

I love to consume paneer in a healthy way as much as possible. This pan-fried paneer can be prepared within 20 mins, and I often prepare this at home whenever I crave a paneer.

Grilled paneer is delicious and scrumptious food. It is simple and easy to prepare. So, you need not wait. Grab a huge slice of paneer and start preparing this grilled paneer right away! Sometimes, I prefer to eat this grilled veggie paneer with hot steamed rice as a main meal.

Ingredients:

Paneer -  300gms sliced vertically
Olive Oil - 1tbsp
Onion - 1 medium size
Bell Pepper - Half
Lemon juice - 2tsp
Cilantro - 2 tbsp


Spice Powder:

Red Chili - 3/4 tsp
Coriander Powder - 3/4 tsp
Garam Masala - 1/4 tsp
Cumin Powder - 1/2 tsp optional
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Salt - As per taste / 3/4 tsp

How to make grilled paneer:


1. Chop the onion and bell pepper into cube size. (Note: If green bell pepper is not available, you can use other colors too).

2. Take a wide non-stick pan and keep it on a medium-high flame. Pour 1 teaspoon of oil and toss the onion and bell pepper. Saute for a few minutes, and then keep it aside.

3. Take a medium-size bowl or plate. Add all the spice powders, salt, and 1 tsp of olive oil.

4. Mix them nicely using a spoon, or you may use your fingers.

5. Dip the paneer slices into the masala and apply them on all sides of the paneer. Let it marinate for 10 minutes. (Note: You may even marinate for a longer time).

6. Pour 1 tsp of olive oil into the same pan. Toss in all the paneer slices one by one and cook each side for 2 to 3 minutes on a medium flame. (Note: Don't cook the paneer for too long as it will become hard and chewy).

7. Switch off the flame once the paneer turns golden brown.

8. The spicy grilled Paneer is ready to be served. Squeeze some lemon over the grilled paneer. Enjoy the healthy veggie paneer platter!

(Note: Do not confuse this grilled paneer with the paneer tikka recipe. Both have a similar procedure, but they differ in certain ways. The tikka recipe is usually marinated in yogurt/curd, other spices, etc. In my grilled paneer recipe, I didn't add any yogurt, ginger, etc.).
