Fresh and creamy avocado smeared on a slice of toasted bread is one of my favorite snacks. It is my ultimate go-to snack whenever I crave something quick bites.

An avocado sandwich can be eaten 
for breakfast, lunch, or even as a snack. It is a must-try recipe for all avocado addicts. It is a delicious open sandwich prepared in less than 10 mins. It is also versatile as you can dress it up with toppings like seeds, cherry tomatoes, onion, eggs, arugula, olive oil, herbs, cheese, and so on. Make sure you consume the guacamole sandwich immediately since the avocado browns over time.

Avocado toast ingredients:
 
Ripe avocado - 1 medium
Red onion - 1 small 
Cilantro/Coriander leaves - 3 sprigs
Whole wheat bread - 2 slices

Seasonings:

Salt - 1/2 tsp or As per taste
Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
Pomegranate kernels - 1 tbsp

How to make avocado toast:


1. Slice avocado in half and remove the seed.

2. Scoop and dice the avocado roughly.

3. Mash the chunks roughly with a fork.

4. Put the finely chopped onion and cilantro into the mashed avocado.

5. Sprinkle some salt and pepper powder. Give it a nice mix and keep it aside.

6. Toast the whole wheat bread on a tawa or toaster. You may apply ghee or butter to toast the bread.

7. Apply 2 tbsp of the mashed avocado mixture on one side of the toasted bread.

9. Put some pomegranate kernels and chopped cilantro on top and cover it with another slice of toasted bread.
