Cabbage poriyal recipe | cabbage peas poriyal | muttaikose poriyal | muttaikose Pattani poriyal | cabbage patani poriyal with detailed step-by-step photos.
A popular South Indian style cabbage peas stir fry. It is a healthy and tasty side dish that goes well with hot steamed rice, phulka, and roti. I often make this cabbage peas curry at home. It is quite easy and takes very little time to prepare.
In most South Indian poriyal recipes, grated coconut is added to enhance the taste, but the cabbage peas poriyal can be prepared without coconut. Just make sure that you don't overcook the veggies as it gets mushy.
Cabbage is called muttaikose and green peas as pachai Pattani in Tamil. And poriyal/thoran/palya/vepudu means dry curry in Indian languages.
