Green mango salad is a crunchy, spicy, and tangy vegetable salad. It can be eaten as a salad or served as a side dish for rice and roti. This salad is absolutely healthy and low in calories.
Green/raw mango is nothing but a mango that has not ripened yet. This refreshing salad uses green mango, onion, tomato, carrot, cucumber, and fresh cilantro and mint. These veggies are tossed together in a spicy lime dressing.
There is no oil or tadka given to this salad, but you can drizzle olive oil over the salad.
This raw mango salad can be used as a base for bhel puri or masala puri chaat. I had tried mixing this salad with bhel puri once, and it tasted great!
Further, it is a perfect summer salad recipe as raw mangoes are in season. So mango season is around the corner in San Diego, and I noticed some fresh green mangoes in our nearby grocery store. So it's time to make some healthy mango recipes and post them on my blog. Now let's get into the recipe!!!

Green mango salad ingredients:
2. Onion - 1 Small
3. Tomato - 1 small
4. Cucumber - 1 small
5. Carrot - 1 small
6. Cilantro / Coriander leaves - 5 sprigs
7. Mint leaves - optional
8. Lemon - Half
9. Green chili - 1 optional
10. Salt - 1 tsp / As per taste
Spice Powders:
1. Red chili - half tsp
2. Coriander powder - half tsp
3. Cumin powder - 1/4 to 1/2 tsp
How to make raw mango salad:
2. Give it a gentle mix using a ladle, and add the spice powders and salt.
3. Squeeze half a lemon over the veggies.
4. Give it a nice mix. Let it rest for 10 minutes, and then serve.
The refreshing "Spicy Green mango salad / Raw mango Kachumber" is ready to be served. Enjoy!!!
