I have come up with a healthy and simple avocado salad recipe this week which is easy to make and tummy-filling. Avocados are my favorite and adding them to the salad takes a simple salad dish to the next level.

Avocado fruit is a delicious single-seeded berry, it is full of good fats and nutrients. It has more potassium than a banana, and good for the heart, skin, and hair as well. 

Avocado is also known as butter fruit or alligator pear. It is available online and premium shops like Nilgiris, Pazhamudhir Cholai in Chennai. Try this salad when you find them in your nearby shops.

Avocado salad Ingredients:


1. Avocado - 1 big
2. Boiled sweet corn - 1 cup
3. Onion - 1 small
4. Tomato - 1 medium
5. Cucumber - 1 big
6. Cilantro - 5 sprigs
7. Lemon - Half

Salad Dressing:

1. Olive oil - 1 Tbsp
2. Salt - As per taste
3. Pepper - As per taste

How to make avocado salad Indian style:


1. Take a wide salad mixing bowl, combine sliced avocado, cucumber, tomato, corn, and thinly sliced red onion. (Note - Frozen corn or canned corn can be used if fresh corn is not available).

2. Gently mix everything. Add the salad dressing olive oil, salt, pepper, cilantro, and finally squeeze some lemon juice. (Note - Lemon juice prevents the avocado from browning, red paprika can also be added for spice and dressing should be added only before serving).

3. Avocado Salad is ready to be served. Enjoy the refreshing and flavorful salad.

How to make an avocado salad with stepwise photos:
